India AI Impact Summit 2026 TOY8 Case Study Presentation

TOY8 Holdings Inc. (hereinafter "TOY8"; Headquarters: Tokyo; CEO: Masaki Ishibashi) announced on February 17th that it was selected for the official publication "Casebook on Real-World Impact of AI in Education" at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, one of the world's largest AI conferences currently being held in New Delhi, India.

This casebook features 36 strictly selected leading examples from around the world where AI is contributing to solving social issues in the field of education. Alongside global EdTech giants such as Duolingo, Khan Academy, and Lenovo, TOY8 was the only company representing Japan to be selected.

■ Recognition for Contributions to "Inclusive Education" in Southeast Asia

The TOY8 case study, titled "TOY8: AI-Based Developmental Screening Expands Inclusive Early Education in ASEAN Countries," highlights the company's AI-driven developmental screening technology for children aged 3 to 5 and its contribution to fostering inclusive education.

The company has evolved Japan's infant health checkup system using AI technology and deployed it to low-resource regions in Southeast Asia where specialists are scarce. More than 15,000 children have already been screened across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, with government-commissioned analyses demonstrating high cost-effectiveness.

■ Establishing a Presence at the First AI Summit in the Global South

The "India AI Impact Summit 2026" marks the fourth global AI summit following editions in the UK, South Korea, and France, and is the first to be held in the Global South. It is a large-scale event gathering leaders from approximately 20 countries and global tech figures, including the CEOs of NVIDIA, Google, and OpenAI.

With this international recognition as momentum, TOY8 plans to further accelerate its expansion across the Asian region. Under its mission to "create a world where everyone can unleash their talents," the company aims to achieve early detection and intervention for developmental delays through the power of technology.

■ ICT Startup League
This support program was launched in FY2023, triggered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Project for Supporting Seed-stage R&D for Startup Creation."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
① R&D Funding / Mentorship
Up to 20 million yen in R&D expenses is provided in the form of grants. In addition, selection committee members involved in the screening process stay close to the startups to promote growth. For companies that committee members evaluate as "must-adopt," the members themselves provide continuous support, such as advice on business plans and opportunities for growth—a support system akin to "fandom-style" mentorship.
② Discovery & Cultivation
The league provides opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of its members. It also seeks to discover aspiring entrepreneurs to expand the ecosystem's foundation.
③ Competition & Co-creation
Operating like a professional sports league, it serves as a platform for positive competition where startups learn together and strive to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million yen). It also provides a "co-creation" space where league members can collaborate and expand their businesses through sessions with the selection committee and other opportunities.
④ Communication
The league collaborates with media to promote the efforts of its members. By raising public awareness of these businesses, the program aims to broaden the scope for new matching opportunities and business prospects.
