Kisui TECH's Autonomous AI Robot "Adam" Enters the Australian Market ― Proprietary rough-terrain technology and mowing attachments highly acclaimed; first introduction in the Oceania region ―

Adam decided for Australian expansion

Kisui TECH Inc. (Headquarters: Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; CEO: Tamir Blum), a developer of AI agro-robots, announced on December 24 that it has decided to introduce its autonomous AI robot, "Adam," to the Australian market.

This marks the company's first deployment in the Oceania region. The primary objective of this introduction is to automate mowing operations, which is a pressing issue locally.

■ Stable Driving Even in Rough Terrain Orchards: Patented Technology is the Key

Australian orchards (pears, grapes, citrus, etc.) often feature uneven ground and muddy soil, creating a harsh driving environment for robots.

The proprietary suspension and steering system developed and patented by Kisui demonstrates high driving stability even on such irregular terrain. It was reported that this performance was highly rated compared to other companies' robots previously tested locally, leading to this adoption.

■ Achieving Multifunctionality via Interchangeable Attachments

The "Mowing Attachment" evaluated in this instance features three electrically driven blades and three independent motors, designed for easy attachment to and detachment from the Adam main unit.

The company is also currently developing a pesticide spraying attachment, positioning the ability to expand functions according to operational purposes as a major strength of "Adam." Moving forward, they plan to accelerate technical development and on-site implementation both domestically and internationally, contributing to agricultural automation.

■ About the ICT Startup League
This is a support program launched in FY2023, triggered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Start-up Creation-type Germination Research and Development Support Project."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million JPY in research and development funds is provided in the form of grants. Additionally, in terms of hands-on support, the evaluation committee members who were involved in selecting the league members continue to stay close after selection to promote growth. For companies that committee members evaluated as "must-select," a support system akin to "fandom" (dedicated advocacy) is built, where the evaluators themselves provide continuous support, such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also expand the scope of the program by discovering individuals who aim to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Functioning as a positive competitive arena like a sports league, the mechanism allows startups to learn together, compete in a friendly manner, and win the necessary funds (up to 20 million JPY). We also provide a place for co-creation where league members can collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities such as sessions with evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination
We will disseminate the initiatives of league members in collaboration with the media! By letting more people know about these businesses, we aim to expand new matching opportunities and chances.
