Prossell Inc. (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture; CEO: Kazuki Yokoyama), a company developing career partnership businesses for Kosen (National Institute of Technology/College of Technology) students, announced on December 9 the release of "EnCycle Agent," a recruitment agency service specialized for Kosen graduates.
This service features advisors who are Kosen alumni themselves, ensuring candidates' technical skills are fairly evaluated to support their career advancement. The most significant feature is the industry's first "Pay-it-forward" (On-okuri) system, where a portion of the recruitment fee is donated back to the candidate's alma mater or community.
The main features of "EnCycle Agent" are as follows:
Industry-First "Pay-it-forward" System
When a candidate is successfully hired, Prossell covers a donation equivalent to 5% of the theoretical annual salary to the candidate's alma mater or community. These funds are utilized for purposes such as material costs for Robocon (Robot Contest) and updating research equipment.
Specialized Support by Kosen Alumni Advisors
Advisors who deeply understand the technical and educational background of Kosen students handle the process. They verbally articulate strengths to companies that are often difficult to convey through general agencies.
Curated Job Listings Leveraging the Kosen Network
Utilizing a network through the General Foundation Kosen-jinkai (Kosen Alumni Association), the service introduces private job listings from top-tier companies.
Prossell is a startup originating from Nagaoka Kosen, operating under the vision: "Make Kosen people happy, and those around them."
Through this new service, the company aims to support the careers of Kosen graduates while establishing a cycle of "En (Fate/Connection) + Cycle" that gives back to future students, thereby aiming for the further development of the Kosen ecosystem.
■ About ICT Startup League
This support program was launched in FY2023, initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Startup Creation and Emerging R&D Support Program."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million JPY in R&D funding is provided as a grant. Additionally, in the hands-on support phase, the evaluation committee members who were involved in the selection process continue to work closely with the league members to promote growth. For companies that committee members "absolutely want to select," a "fan-based" (Oshi-katsu) support structure is built, where the evaluators themselves provide ongoing assistance, such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Incubation
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to accelerate the business growth of league members.
We also expand the scope of the program by discovering those who aim to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Designed as a positive competitive environment similar to a sports league, startups learn together and improve through friendly rivalry while competing for necessary funding (up to 20 million JPY). We also provide a space for co-creation where league members can collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination
We broadcast the initiatives of league members in collaboration with media! By letting more people know about these businesses, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
