Prossell Co., Ltd. (HQ: Niigata City, Niigata), Echigo Tekkosho Co., Ltd. (HQ: Nagaoka City, Niigata), and Prossell Technologies Co., Ltd. (Nagaoka City, Niigata) announced on November 14 that they have become wholly-owned subsidiaries of the newly established "Prossell Holdings Co., Ltd." (HQ: Niigata City, Niigata, CEO: Kazuki Yokoyama) as of November 5, 2025.
This organizational realignment aims to strengthen the group's management foundation and achieve sustainable growth toward realizing the vision: "Bringing happiness to Kosen individuals, and in turn, to those around them."
Prossell has expanded its business domains, including its career partner business for Kosen (technical college) students, a software development business in collaboration with Kosen-graduate engineers, and a hardware business through the M&A of Echigo Tekkosho.
To respond to this business expansion and to optimize the allocation of management resources and speed up decision-making, the group has transitioned to a holding company structure. The software development business was newly established as "Prossell Technologies Co., Ltd." and launched as a subsidiary of the holding company.
Going forward, the group plans to further promote the "Kosen Economic Sphere" by fostering cross-sectional collaboration between the career, education, technology, and manufacturing (monozukuri) sectors.
CEO Kazuki Yokoyama (a graduate of Nagaoka Kosen) commented, "I have been supported by many friends and colleagues connected by the common bond of Kosen."
"This organizational realignment is a step toward further growth. By having each group company enhance its expertise and combine its strengths, we want to continue providing an environment where Kosen graduates can take on challenges more easily than ever before," he stated. "While accelerating this 'pay-it-forward' cycle, we want to create a future where Kosen individuals drive the Japanese economy."
Prossell Holdings will promote the roll-up of Kosen-founded companies and new business creation, maximizing synergies among the following group companies:
■ ICT Startup League
This is a support program launched in FY2023, originating from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Program to Support R&D for Startups in the Embryonic Stage."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four pillars:
① R&D Expenses / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million yen in R&D expenses is provided in the form of subsidies. Additionally, in the hands-on support, the screening committee members involved in selecting league members continue to mentor and promote their growth after selection. A "fan-like" ('oshikatsu') support system is established where committee members provide continuous support—such as advice on business plans and growth opportunities—for companies they strongly believe should be selected.
② Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also work to discover aspiring entrepreneurs, aiming to broaden the base.
③ Competition & Co-creation
It serves as a place for positive competition, much like a sports league, where startups learn together and compete constructively to win the funding they truly need (up to 20 million yen). We also provide a co-creation space where league members can collaborate and expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with the screening committee.
④ Promotion & Outreach
We collaborate with media to publicize the initiatives of league members! By raising awareness of their businesses, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
