AironWorks, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kanichi Terada), provider of an AI cybersecurity platform, announced on November 10th that its CEO, Mr. Terada, will speak at GRIC (Growth Industry Conference), one of Japan's largest growth industry conferences.
Mr. Terada will speak in a session titled "The New Normal for Business Leaders." Against the backdrop of risks such as misinformation and cyber warfare, which the World Economic Forum has warned about, the discussion will focus on how the evolution of "Defense Tech" can counter these threats.
This session will be moderated by Mr. Atsushi Teraoka of Nikkei Inc. In addition to Mr. Terada, the speakers include Mr. Michael Goodman (Executive Officer & CD&SO) of Hitachi, Ltd., and Mr. Zvi Hauser, former Chief of Staff of Israel, who will engage in a discussion from an international perspective.
This will be a forum to share new conventional wisdom on security and practical countermeasures that leaders need to know now, regarding the new framework of technology protecting nations, economies, and companies against risks directly linked to corporate management, such as the spread of misinformation by AI and cyber espionage.
AironWorks is an AI cybersecurity platform developed by a team of world-class white hat hackers and engineers.
To counter cyber threats targeting human vulnerabilities, such as spear-phishing, targeted attacks, and business email compromise, AironWorks contributes to improving corporate security levels with a platform that integrates advanced AI-powered training and education, multi-layered email defense, and threat intelligence.
■ ICT Startup League
This is a support program launched in FY2023, initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Support Program for Startup-driven Embryonic R&D."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars.
① R&D Funding / Mentorship Support
Up to 20 million yen in R&D funds is provided as a subsidy. Additionally, in the mentorship support, the selection committee members involved in choosing the league members continue to support and promote their growth even after selection. For companies that a committee member "absolutely wants to select," a support system, much like "cheering for your favorite," is established where the committee member personally provides ongoing support, such as advice on business plans and opportunities for growth.
② Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also focus on discovering aspiring entrepreneurs to expand the base of participants.
③ Competition & Co-creation
It provides a place for positive competition, like a sports league, where startups learn together and compete to win the funding they truly need (up to 20 million yen). It also offers a co-creation space where league members can collaborate and expand their businesses through various opportunities, including sessions with selection committee members.
④ Promotion
We will collaborate with media to publicize the initiatives of league members! By making their business known to a wider audience, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
