Kanata Terada
Graduated from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Kyoto University (MBA) and the Faculty of Economics, Osaka University. After setting up the Kyoto branch of Slogan and participating in the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science's overseas study program for young researchers at Koç University in Turkey, he worked on digital marketing and new in-house business ventures at Benesse Corporation. In 2014, he founded Aniwo, the first Japanese startup company in Israel. In 2021, he launched a cybersecurity business as a spin-off from Aniwo and founded AironWorks. |

When my hometown of Kobe was devastated by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, I witnessed the reconstruction support provided by companies such as ASICS and Nissin Foods, and I had a great respect for Japanese entrepreneurs who had grown Japan from a poor country immediately after the war to a world-class company. Since I was a child, I had a dream of "creating a company that would bring innovation to the world." |

| Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World |
I decided to start a company because I admired the postwar entrepreneurs who built the foundations of modern Japan. When I became aware of things, Japan's bubble had already burst, and our generation has never experienced a "growing Japan". When I studied abroad in Turkey during graduate school, I felt the low presence of Japan in the world and felt a sense of crisis.
I wanted to see another global company born in Japan, and I thought about what I could do to achieve that.
In 2014, in order to give back to the society that had raised me, I went to Israel on a one-way ticket with the desire to deliver value to people all over the world, and founded an innovation platform company called Aniwo, and have been working day and night on the theme of creating new value. The decisive factor in deciding to start a company in Israel was that there is a wonderful startup ecosystem in Israel, from which excellent people are being produced one after another, but by putting down roots in the country for a long time and continuing the business and joining the inner circle, I met Gonen, who has top-level technical skills in the area, and invited him to be CTO, and co-founded AironWorks. We are in the midst of a challenge to make a positive impact on society through new combinations of people meeting and acting with the same aspirations. With our corporate mission of "empowering those who challenge themselves to create new value with AI x cybersecurity," AironWorks aims to create a better future. |
