Kisui TECH JA Zen-Noh Aomori Sotokawa Nouki Three-Way Partnership

Kisui Corporation (HQ: Sendai, Miyagi; CEO: Tamir Bloom), developer of AI agro-robots, announced on November 7 that it has signed a three-party memorandum of understanding with the Aomori Prefectural Headquarters of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (JA Zen-Noh Aomori) and Sotokawa Nouki Shokai Co., Ltd. (Sotokawa Nouki) to strengthen the adoption and sales system for its off-road autonomous AI robot "Adam" within Aomori Prefecture.

This establishes an introduction system for apple farmers in Aomori, which has been a priority region for the company since its founding, and is expected to expand opportunities for "Adam" adoption.

■ Spread of High-Density Dwarf Cultivation Provides a Tailwind

JA Zen-Noh Aomori is currently promoting "high-density dwarf cultivation" for apples, which makes it easier to secure paths within orchards, creating an environment increasingly suitable for the introduction of autonomous robots.

In this partnership, JA Zen-Noh Aomori will handle on-site coordination for "Adam" demonstrations and promotional activities within the prefecture. Furthermore, Sotokawa Nouki, which has handled the sale and repair of agricultural machinery in the Tsugaru region for over 80 years, will manage sales and after-sales support.

Through this three-party cooperative system, Kisui aims to advance the adoption of "Adam" in Aomori Prefecture and support productivity improvements and labor savings in the agricultural sector.

From Aomori Prefecture, the nation's top apple producer, the company intends to contribute to the development of Japanese agriculture and the spread of smart agriculture technology.

■ICT Startup League
This support program started in fiscal 2023, originating from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' (MIC) "Support Program for Emerging R&D Startups."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four pillars:
① R&D Expenses / Mentorship Support
R&D expenses of up to 20 million yen are provided as subsidies. Additionally, through mentorship support, the screening committee members who selected the league members continue to stay involved, fostering their growth. For companies that committee members were particularly eager to select, a "booster-like" support system is established where the committee members themselves provide ongoing advice on business plans and offer growth opportunities.
② Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also focus on discovering aspiring entrepreneurs to expand the base.
③ Competition & Co-creation
It provides a place for positive competition, much like a sports league, where startups learn together and challenge each other, earning the funding they truly need (up to 20 million yen). We also offer opportunities for co-creation, where league members collaborate to expand their businesses through various sessions with the screening committee and other events.
④ Outreach
We publicize the initiatives of league members in collaboration with the media! By sharing their work widely, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
