Prossell Inc. (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture; CEO: Kazuki Yokoyama), a career partner service specializing in KOSEN (National Institute of Technology) students, announced on March 17 that it held the "With KOSEN Career Research Seminar in Nagoya" on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
The event was held at STATION Ai (Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture), one of Japan's largest open innovation hubs, serving as the "pre-festival" for the KOSENJIN SUMMIT 2026. It successfully brought together a large number of KOSEN students from across the country.
While KOSEN students are highly valued by industry for their advanced technical skills, their career paths are often limited to school recommendations or local companies. Conversely, corporations face significant challenges in establishing touchpoints and building a talent pool among KOSEN students.
To address these issues, Prossell creates opportunities for students to meet leading companies regardless of their location. At this seminar, each company had the chance to interact directly with an average of 40–50 students, facilitating deep mutual understanding and building a KOSEN student network that transcends individual corporate boundaries.
Prossell, a startup originating from Nagaoka KOSEN, operates under the vision: "Bring happiness to KOSENJIN, and then to those around them." The company offers a wide range of career partnership services for KOSEN students, including new graduate recruitment, career change and side-job support, entrepreneurship assistance, and educational programs.
Through its parent company, Prossell Holdings Inc., the firm plans to continue promoting the roll-up of KOSEN-led startups and the creation of new businesses. By uniting the technical expertise and practical skills of KOSEN people, Prossell aims to deliver new value to society.
■ ICT Startup League
Launched in FY2023, this support program originated from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Project for Supporting Seed-stage R&D for Startup Creation."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four key pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Provides up to 20 million yen in R&D subsidies. During the support phase, selection committee members continue to mentor the companies they chose, fostering growth. This "fan-driven" support system ensures that committee members who were passionate about a company's selection continue to provide advice on business plans and growth opportunities.
2. Discovery and Development
The league provides opportunities for learning and networking to accelerate business growth, while also working to discover and inspire future entrepreneurs to broaden the startup base.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Operating like a sports league, it provides a positive competitive environment where startups learn together and strive to secure the funding they need (up to 20 million yen). It also serves as a platform for "co-creation," where league members collaborate to expand their businesses through sessions with selection committee members and other networking opportunities.
4. Promotion
In collaboration with various media outlets, the league promotes the initiatives of its members. By increasing public awareness of these businesses, the program aims to expand matching opportunities and create new possibilities for growth.
