Corroquium to Host "Singing Once More" Meetup Featuring "Laryphonix" Artificial Larynx — Restoring lost voices and exploring new expressive possibilities through the collaboration of technology and art —

1st Community Meetup: Singing Once More

Corroquium Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masaki Takeuchi) announced on March 11 that it will host its inaugural community event, "Singing Once More," featuring the "Laryphonix" hands-free artificial larynx.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Minato-ku, Tokyo (Shinbashi Seki Building). From the perspective of integrating technology with the arts, the initiative explores how those who have lost their voices can live authentically, using "song" as a starting point.

■ "I always loved to sing. I want to sing again."

During interviews with individuals who have had their vocal cords removed due to laryngeal or pharyngeal cancer, Corroquium repeatedly heard the heartfelt wish: "I want to sing again."

At this event, participants will use the Laryphonix hands-free artificial larynx to experience singing along to live instruments (performing songs such as "Sakura Sakura"). Members of "Sanbyaku," a student team from the Tokyo University of the Arts, will provide accompaniment, creating a space for deeper connection through the lens of music and art.

■ Toward "Personalized Karaoke for Everyone"

Through this singing experience, Corroquium aims to explore new possibilities for expression for those who have lost their voices and the potential for "personalized karaoke" tailored to each individual.

The company has long been dedicated to the development and promotion of Laryphonix, a device designed to restore lost voices. Moving forward, Corroquium plans to continue contributing to the improvement of Quality of Life (QOL) through technology by engaging with users and a diverse range of partners.

■ ICT Startup League
This support program was launched in FY2023, sparked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Project for Supporting Budding R&D for Startup Creation."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million yen in R&D funding is provided in the form of grants. Additionally, the Selection and Evaluation Committee members who participated in the screening process stay involved with the startups to accelerate their growth. For companies that committee members "absolutely want to see succeed," a dedicated support system is built where the evaluators themselves provide ongoing advice on business plans and growth opportunities—a truly "supportive fan-like" mentorship structure.
2. Discovery & Cultivation
The league provides opportunities for learning and networking to promote business growth. It also works to discover aspiring entrepreneurs to expand the ecosystem's foundation.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Designed like a professional sports league, it fosters a positive competitive environment where startups learn together and strive to secure the funding they truly need (up to 20 million yen). It also serves as a platform for co-creation, offering various opportunities for league members to collaborate and expand their businesses through sessions with committee members.
4. Communication
The league collaborates with the media to broadcast the efforts of its members. By sharing these businesses with a wider audience, the program aims to create new matching opportunities and expand the horizons for success.
