Kiviaq Partners with Keio Unyu to Launch Same-Day Prescription Delivery in Nakano and Suginami — A new medical experience for immediate relief, expanding awareness ahead of hay fever season —

Kiviaq and Keio Unyu Partnership: Same-Day Prescription Delivery Service

Kiviaq Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shun Okada), a pharmaceutical SCM provider driven by the mission to "Overwhelmingly enhance every medical experience," announced on March 6 that it has partnered with Keio Unyu Co., Ltd., a logistics subsidiary of the Keio Group. The collaboration marks the launch of a same-day prescription delivery service serving Nakano and Suginami wards in Tokyo.

This initiative is being promoted in collaboration with TIS Inc., supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Be Smart Tokyo <Inclusive>" smart service implementation project.

■ Seamless Integration from Online Instruction to Same-Day Delivery

Under this service, once a patient is seen at a Kiviaq-compatible medical institution, the prescription is automatically synced with the company's "Kiviaq Pharmacy." After receiving online medication guidance via LINE, patients can receive their prescriptions at home or other preferred locations as early as the same day through Keio Unyu's delivery network.

The system ensures that medications are delivered by 9:00 PM if the medication guidance is completed by 3:00 PM on weekdays or 12:00 PM on weekends and holidays. This provides a highly convenient medical experience for those feeling unwell or for busy professionals.

■ Promotion Across the Keio Line Network

To coincide with the peak of the hay fever season, both companies will begin displaying promotional posters at 14 stations along the Keio and Inokashira Lines (including Meidaimae, Shimotakaido, and Eifukucho) starting Monday, March 9.

Kiviaq and Keio Unyu plan to deepen their collaboration moving forward. Their long-term strategy involves establishing new bases along Keio Railway lines and further advancing delivery capabilities, accelerating the realization of a future where "you no longer need to go to a pharmacy."

■ ICT Startup League
A support program launched in FY2023, originating from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Seed-stage R&D Support Project for Startup Creation."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four key pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Provides up to 20 million yen in R&D grants. Additionally, Selection Committee members provide hands-on support to foster growth even after the selection process. For companies that committee members are particularly passionate about, they provide direct advice on business plans and growth opportunities in a "fan-driven" support style.
2. Discovery & Nurturing
The league provides opportunities for learning and networking to accelerate business growth, while also working to discover aspiring entrepreneurs to broaden the startup ecosystem.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Functioning like a positive sports league, startups learn and compete to secure the funding they need (up to 20 million yen). It also serves as a platform for co-creation, where members can collaborate and expand their businesses through sessions with committee members and fellow league participants.
4. Communication
The league partners with media outlets to broadcast the efforts of its members. By increasing public awareness of these businesses, the program aims to create new matching opportunities and expand the horizons for all involved.
