Kiviaq, Seino HD, and Hacobell Partner to Launch Same-Day Prescription Delivery ― Realizing same-day receipt with no additional fees in Tokyo's 5 wards, redesigning urban medical access ―
Kiviaq Inc. (Kiviaq; HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shun Okada), which develops pharmaceutical SCM businesses, announced on February 3 the commencement of a "same-day receipt" service for prescription drugs in five wards of Tokyo (Toshima, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Taito, and Bunkyo). This initiative is launched in collaboration with Seino Holdings Co., Ltd. and Hacobell Inc.
The service began operations on January 19, 2026, aiming to provide a new medical experience that aligns seamlessly with the daily routines of urban residents.
■ Seamlessly connecting "Medical Consultation" and "Drug Receipt"
By combining the dispensing pharmacies operated by Kiviaq with the logistics networks of Seino HD and Hacobell, a system has been established to complete the process from prescription to drug receipt within the same day.
Specifically, after visiting a Kiviaq-compatible medical institution, patients receive online medication guidance via LINE. Subsequently, they can receive their medicine at home (or other locations) as early as the same day. If medication guidance is completed by 3:00 PM on weekdays, delivery is made by 9:00 PM. On weekends and holidays, if completed by 12:00 PM, delivery is made by 6:00 PM.
■ Providing a "No Pharmacy Visit" option with Zero Patient Burden
A major feature of this service is that there is no additional cost to the patient. It is designed to be used reasonably as part of the urban medical infrastructure without raising economic hurdles.
Kiviaq aims to make it the norm that "necessary medicine reaches you easily when it is needed" and plans to expand the service area in the future.
■ ICT Startup League
This support program was launched in FY2023, triggered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Start-up Creation-type Germination Research and Development Support Business."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million JPY in R&D funding is provided in the form of a grant. Additionally, regarding hands-on support, the selection evaluation committee members who were involved in selecting the league members continue to stay close after selection to promote growth. For companies that the evaluators rated as "absolutely want to adopt," a support system likened to "Oshi-katsu" (enthusiastic advocacy) has been built, where the evaluators themselves provide continuous support such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also expand our scope to discover and develop those aiming to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
It serves as a venue for positive competition akin to a sports league, where startups learn together and work hard to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million JPY). We also provide a place for co-creation where league members collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities such as sessions with selection evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination
We disseminate the initiatives of league members in cooperation with the media! By letting more people know about these businesses, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
