MOLTON "Cloud Legal" × Ricoh Japan to Host Legal DX Seminar ― First collaborative event since the company name change; optimizing contract operations with ALSP and CLM ―

MOLTON and Ricoh Japan Joint Seminar

MOLTON Inc. (formerly a23s Inc.; HQ: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yasufumi Sakichi), provider of the corporate legal outsourcing service "Cloud Legal," announced on January 14 that it will co-host a Legal DX seminar with Ricoh Japan Corp.

This event marks the first collaborative seminar since the company changed its name from a23s to MOLTON. By combining MOLTON's BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) legal support with Ricoh Japan's contract management solutions, the seminar aims to support the streamlining of corporate contract operations.

■ Integration of "Cloud Legal" and "RICOH Contract Workflow Service"

The seminar is scheduled to showcase specific methods for integrating "Cloud Legal," a corporate legal ALSP equipped with Generative AI, and "RICOH Contract Workflow Service," a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system provided by Ricoh Japan.

The session will explain how to digitally integrate and optimize the entire process—from contract drafting and review to post-execution management and utilization—incorporating demonstrations.

■ Balancing "Defense" and "Offense" with Legal BPaaS

Under the banner of "Democratizing Corporate Law," MOLTON proposes a new form of legal outsourcing (ALSP) that fuses AI with expert teams.

Through this seminar, the company aims to convey the value of "Legal BPaaS," which goes beyond mere tool implementation to transform business processes themselves, thereby contributing to strengthened corporate governance and improved productivity.

■ About the ICT Startup League
A support program launched in FY2023, initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Start-up Creation R&D Support Project."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
R&D funding of up to 20 million yen is provided in the form of a grant. Regarding hands-on support, the evaluation committee members who selected the league members continue to provide close support after selection to accelerate growth. A "fandom-like" support system is established where evaluators who strongly advocated for a specific company's selection continue to personally support it by offering advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Incubation
Providing opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
The program also works to expand the startup base by discovering individuals aiming to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Acting as a field for positive competition similar to a sports league, startups learn together and improve themselves while competing to win necessary funding (up to 20 million yen). It also provides a space for co-creation where league members collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination (PR)
Disseminating the initiatives of league members in collaboration with media outlets! The goal is to expand new matching opportunities and chances by ensuring these businesses are known to a wider audience.
