Parenting Map App 'iiba' Selected for Tokyo's 'PoC Ground Tokyo' Program ― Accelerating Child-Rearing Support DX via My Number Integration; Verifying Automation of Benefits and Procedures ―

iiba selected for PoC Ground Tokyo

iiba Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nana Aizawa), the developer and operator of the parenting map app "iiba," announced on January 13 that it has been selected for the "Startup Social Implementation Promotion Project (PoC Ground Tokyo) FY2025 Short-Term Intensive Course," hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

"PoC Ground Tokyo" is a program designed to support startups in concept verification and growth. Leveraging financial support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (up to approximately 10 million yen), iiba aims to establish an implementation model for child-rearing support DX within Tokyo.

■ Towards "Application-Free" Support via My Number Integration

Currently, support systems for child-rearing households face challenges: they are complex, require significant effort to apply for, and are consequently underutilized. Furthermore, administrative bodies are overwhelmed by benefit management and inquiry responses.

iiba aims to build a mechanism that integrates child-rearing support information with electronic vouchers by utilizing My Number integration. Through this, they will verify the realization of "push-based" support, where eligible benefits are automatically received without the need for manual procedures or searching.

■ Establishing an Implementation Model in Tokyo for Nationwide Expansion

In this project, the company will collaborate with actual municipalities, stores, and users to verify technical and institutional feasibility, User Experience (UX), and revenue models for social implementation.

Through verification in Tokyo, which houses the largest number of child-rearing households in the country, iiba aims to establish a DX model that benefits all three parties—guardians, administration, and local businesses—and eyes expansion to other municipalities.

■ About the ICT Startup League
This support program launched in FY2023, sparked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Startup Creation-type Germination Research and Development Support Project."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Accompaniment Support
R&D funding of up to 20 million yen is provided in the form of subsidies. In terms of accompaniment support, the evaluation committee members who were involved in the selection of League members continue to stay close after selection to promote growth. For companies that committee members evaluated as "absolutely want to select," a support system is built where the committee members themselves provide continuous support—such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities—akin to a "fandom" or "push" (Oshikatsu) style of support.
2. Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of League members.
We also expand the base by discovering those who aim to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Serving as a venue for positive competition like a sports league, startups learn together and improve themselves while competing to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million yen). We also provide a place for co-creation where League members collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities such as sessions by evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination
We disseminate the initiatives of League members in collaboration with the media! By letting more people know about these businesses, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
