iiba Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nana Aizawa), operator of the parenting map app "iiba," announced on November 28 the launch of a joint campaign with the JR West Group. Titled "Wanted: Child-Friendly Spots on the Osaka Loop Line! #TellMeOsakaLoopLine," the campaign aims to make railway travel more convenient for child-rearing households and will begin on December 1, 2025.
According to the company, this marks the first instance in Japan of a full-scale collaboration between a parenting map app and a railway company.
This campaign utilizes the iiba app to collect "real experiences" and "questions" from child-rearing households.
Participants will share niche information that is often difficult to find through standard searches—such as "Which route is easiest to navigate with a stroller?" or "Is there a nursing room in the station building?"—fostering a community where "one parent's experience helps the next."
The collected data will be analyzed and used to improve railway facilities and services along the line, as well as to expand information availability. Furthermore, it is planned to be utilized for co-creating new value regarding child-rearing support and regional collaboration along the railway lines.
To enter the campaign, users simply need to post a "question" or "answer" regarding stations or spots along the Osaka Loop Line using the hashtag "#TellMeOsakaLoopLine" (#おしえて大阪環状線) within the iiba app during the campaign period.
The target area includes station premises, station buildings, and surrounding spots (restaurants, parks, etc.) centered on the Osaka Loop Line, including Kyobashi Station, Tenma Station, Fukushima Station, and Tennoji Station.
■ About the ICT Startup League
This support program was launched in FY2023, initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Startup Creation R&D Support Business."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million JPY in R&D funding is provided in the form of subsidies. In addition, through hands-on support, the selection committee members who were involved in choosing the league members continue to stay close and promote their growth after selection. For companies that committee members evaluated as "must-haves," a "fandom-style" support system is built where the evaluators themselves provide continuous support, such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to encourage the business growth of league members.
We also expand the scope of the program by discovering those who aim to start businesses in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Functioning like a sports league, this provides a place for positive competition where startups learn together and improve through friendly rivalry to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million JPY). We also offer a venue for co-creation where league members can collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with selection committee members.
4. Dissemination
We broadcast the initiatives of league members in cooperation with the media! By letting more people know about these businesses, we aim to expand the field for new matching and opportunities.
