Singular Perturbations, Inc. (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mami Kajita; hereafter 'SP'), the developer of the crime and accident prediction AI 'CRIME NABI,' announced on November 14 that it has been selected for the 4th Batch of 'XLIMIT,' an accelerator program provided by Global Brain Corporation.
With 'CRIME NABI' at its core, SP is promoting 'Safety DX' for police, local governments, and security companies. Following this selection, the company plans to further accelerate the social implementation of 'predictive-based optimal security'.
'XLIMIT' is an accelerator program that leverages the support system and network of funds managed by Global Brain to help startups aiming for Series A successfully raise capital.
With this selection, SP aims to accelerate solutions for challenges such as the growing shortage of security personnel both domestically and internationally, the increasing sophistication of crime, and safety measures for large-scale events.
'CRIME NABI' is an AI platform that integrates diverse data such as past crime data, geospatial data, demographics, and weather to predict 'when, where, and what kind of crime or accident is likely to occur' in space and time.
In a patrol demonstration in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the platform demonstrated a reduction in infrastructure crimes, such as copper wire theft, by approximately 68.5%. It has a proven track record of contributing to crime deterrence in the field through 'AI-optimized security routes'.
SP has built a strong track record, including being selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's (METI) 'Future-Oriented Co-creation Project with the Global South' (2025) and winning 'B Dash Camp 2024'.
■ ICT Startup League
This is a support program launched in FY2023, originating from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' (MIC) 'Support Program for Startup-Oriented Germination R&D.'
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four pillars:
① R&D Funding / Mentorship Support
Up to 20 million JPY in R&D expenses is provided as a subsidy. Additionally, in the mentorship support, the selection committee members involved in choosing the league members continue to support and promote their growth after selection. For companies that committee members strongly advocated for ('absolutely want to select'), an 'advocacy-based' support system is established where the committee members themselves provide ongoing advice on business plans and offer growth opportunities.
② Discovery & Development
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also focus on discovering aspiring entrepreneurs to expand the base of the ecosystem.
③ Competition & Co-creation
It provides a place for positive competition, much like a sports league, where startups learn together and compete to win the funding they truly need (up to 20 million JPY). We also offer a space for co-creation, where league members can collaborate and expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with selection committee members.
④ Promotion
We promote the initiatives of league members in collaboration with the media! By raising awareness of their businesses, we aim to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
