We aim to build the foundation for the in-vehicle app market, which is expected to reach tens of trillions of yen by the 2030s. To achieve this, we will operate a pioneering in-vehicle app service ourselves. This service is called “Topic Guide,” which provides short audio announcements about topics in the vicinity of the user's location every few minutes while they are traveling in a car or other vehicle. With in-vehicle use in mind, we will first launch the service as a smartphone app. Topics are generated semi-automatically by our AI system from the vast amount of publicly available information. Unlike static information such as “There is a store called XX there,” the system includes dynamic information such as “XX is popular at that store,” which changes from time to time. By using the data obtained from this service as a training set, we will advance the development of the foundational system.
