iiba Begins Pilot Project for Child-Rearing Support in Toyokawa City, Aichi ― Building a Community Co-Creation Support Model via Digital Maps and "Work Experience" ―

iiba Toyokawa City Pilot Project

iiba Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nana Aizawa), the developer and operator of the child-rearing map app "iiba," announced on January 27 that it has launched a pilot project regarding child-rearing support in collaboration with Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture.

This project is being conducted as part of the "AICHI Co-Creation Startup Program 2025" sponsored by Aichi Prefecture. It aims to improve the quality of child-rearing support in Toyokawa City through both information provision using digital technology and experience-based events in collaboration with local companies.

The first component of the pilot project is the digitization of child-rearing information (Child-Rearing DX).

Information on facilities within the city such as "Baby Stations," child-rearing support centers, children's halls, and consultation windows will be consolidated on the "iiba" app. Users can search based on criteria such as the availability of nursing rooms, thereby reducing the burden of movement and information gathering for child-rearing households. The project will verify the effectiveness of highly convenient information provision that can be completed entirely on a smartphone.

■ "Work Experience" in Collaboration with Local Companies

The second component is the planning and implementation of a "Children's Work Experience Program."

Career education events for elementary and junior high school students will be held in cooperation with companies in the city. The aim is to create a place for community interaction where parents can also participate, while promoting the appeal of local companies. iiba's system will be utilized for program management, reservations, and data aggregation to improve operational efficiency.

Toyokawa City commented, "We hope to connect this to the improvement of administrative service quality and the creation of new value through co-creation with the private sector."

■ ICT Startup League
This support program started in FY2023, triggered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Startup Creation-oriented Germination Research and Development Support Project."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Accompaniment Support
Up to 20 million yen in R&D funding is provided in the form of a grant. Additionally, in terms of accompaniment support, the selection evaluation committee members who were involved in selecting the league members continue to stay close after selection to promote growth. For companies that the evaluation committee members rated as "must-select," a support system likened to "Oshi-katsu" (enthusiastic support) is built, where the committee members themselves continuously provide support, such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities.
2. Discovery & Incubation
We provide opportunities for learning and networking to promote the business growth of league members.
We also expand the base by discovering those who aim to start a business in the future.
3. Competition & Co-creation
It serves as a place for positive competition, like a sports league, where startups learn from each other and work hard together to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million yen). We also provide a place for co-creation where league members collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities such as sessions with selection evaluation committee members.
4. Dissemination
We broadcast the initiatives of league members in collaboration with the media! By letting more people know about the businesses, we aim to expand the field for new matching and chances.
