iiba publishing first book

iiba Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nana Aizawa), which develops and operates the child-rearing map app "iiba," announced on January 19 that it will publish its first book, Best Outing Spots with Kids Born from Over 200,000 Real Reviews [Kanto Area], through KADOKAWA Corporation.

Pre-orders began on January 19, with the release scheduled for March 12. Based on the actual experiences of iiba users and ambassadors nationwide, this book is a carefully selected collection of spots where parents felt it was "truly worth going with children."

The main features of the book are as follows:

  • Ready-to-use 1-Day Model Plans: Considering travel distance and stay duration, the book proposes plans that busy parenting households can copy directly.
  • Spots by Purpose: Categorized by scene, such as parks or indoor facilities, making it easy to search and solving the dilemma of "Where should we go today?"
  • Recommended Spots by 47 Prefectures: Covers spots selected from a local, child-friendly perspective, making it useful for travel.

■ Supporting Parenting Households Digitally and Analogously

While iiba has previously focused on visualizing child-rearing information through its app, this publication offers "trustworthy voices that cannot be found through internet searches alone" in the tangible form of a book.

The company states that it will continue to address the question "Where shall we go today?" for parenting households, supporting family memory-making through both digital and analog approaches.

■ About ICT Startup League
This support program launched in FY2023, initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Startup Creation R&D Support Project."
The ICT Startup League supports startups through four main pillars:
1. R&D Funding / Hands-on Support
Up to 20 million JPY in R&D funding is provided as a grant. In the hands-on support aspect, selection committee members who were involved in choosing the league members continue to provide guidance after selection to promote growth. For companies that committee members evaluated as "must-select," a support system is built where the members themselves provide continuous assistance, such as advice on business plans and providing growth opportunities—a truly enthusiastic style of support.
2. Discovery & Development
The league provides learning opportunities and networking venues to promote the business growth of league members.
It also conducts activities to discover those aiming to start businesses in the future, aiming to expand the base of entrepreneurship.
3. Competition & Co-creation
Serving as a venue for positive competition similar to a sports league, startups learn together and improve through friendly rivalry while competing to win the necessary funding (up to 20 million JPY). Additionally, the league provides a place for co-creation where league members can collaborate to expand their businesses through various opportunities, such as sessions with selection committee members.
4. Dissemination
The initiatives of league members are disseminated in collaboration with media outlets! By making their businesses known to many people, the league aims to expand opportunities for new matching and chances.
