Our company is developing airships to realize HAPS (stratospheric platforms) for Earth observation. Using these, we will provide data that combines the strengths of satellite and aerial data—high ground resolution, high observation frequency, and wide observation coverage—at low cost.
The League is developing a propulsion system for a primary prototype that can be scaled up for use in high-altitude passenger ships (HAPS). Specifically, we are investigating methods for the airship's propulsion and turning, designing the propulsion unit and its control algorithms to achieve this, and conducting the following development work for evaluation: ・Design and prototype a propulsion unit meeting the specifications of the primary prototype essential for HAPS realization ・Establish and implement the airship's propulsion and yaw control (high-level commands) ・Construct the control system for the airship's propulsion unit and evaluate it using a full-scale equivalent model
