Tayori Co., Ltd. aims to create a society where important messages and necessary information can be reliably delivered to loved ones in times of crisis. To this end, the company operates the end-of-life message service “Tayorie: Words of Insurance.” The service provides a mechanism to automatically deliver messages pre-recorded by users and procedural information needed by their families to designated recipients after their passing, thereby reducing the emotional and practical burdens on those left behind. Since its official launch in November 2024, approximately 3,400 people have registered as of July 2025. In the future, the company aims to establish a social infrastructure where everyone can prepare for “in case of emergency” with peace of mind through collaborations with life insurance companies and trust banks.
In this project, we will develop a proof of concept (PoC) for the web service “Kotoba no Hoken Tayorie,” which makes it easier to start end-of-life planning, with the aim of improving the UX design so that users can take action naturally and improving the accuracy of the mechanism for reliably delivering thoughts and information after death.
The main initiatives are as follows.
• UX/UI improvements: Implement screen designs that naturally encourage users to create messages and invite recipients, thereby increasing action execution rates.
• End-of-life note functionality development: Add features that allow users to easily record asset and insurance information, thereby helping to establish end-of-life planning as a routine practice.
Through these efforts, we aim to increase the execution rate of end-of-life planning and reduce the mental and practical burdens on surviving family members.

Misaki NaobayashiAfter graduating from Yokohama National University, I worked in the sales department of a publishing company. Later, as a freelancer, I handled social media management services for companies, providing strategic support to help convey the brand's vision to a wider audience. In December 2023, I established tayori Co., Ltd. and assumed the position of CEO. On November 23, 2024, I officially launched “Kotoba no Hoken tayorie,” a web service that automatically delivers messages and necessary information to loved ones upon one's passing. I continue to lead the company in service development and business expansion. |

| Childhood Dream | When I was little, I wanted to be an actress, but by the time I was in high school, I was telling everyone that I wanted to be a CEO in the future. Now that I have achieved my dream of becoming a CEO, I want to work hard and shine brightly so that I can become the kind of CEO that I admired back then. |

| Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World | There are two clear reasons why I decided to start my own business. When I was a student, I once choked on a piece of steak and thought, “Oh my God, I'm going to die.” The first thing that came to my mind at that moment was, “I'm sorry, Mom.” We're usually very close, often saying things like “thank you” and “I love you,” but what I wanted to convey at that moment was, “Even if I'm not here, please stop crying and keep moving forward with your life” and “I'm so happy to have been born as your daughter.” Fortunately, I survived and am alive today, but that was the first time I thought, “If only there were a system in place to properly convey my feelings in case of an emergency.” Later, when a close relative suddenly passed away in an accident, I hadn’t seen them for a while before they died because I thought we’d always be able to meet again, and I couldn’t remember our last conversation. Additionally, since the information wasn’t organized at all, I had to turn the house upside down searching for insurance certificates and bank passbooks… I realized that a service was needed to support both the emotional and practical burdens in such situations. However, the end-of-life planning services I looked into at the time were mostly aimed at the elderly. The UI, effort, and cost were honestly not something I wanted to use. If that was the case, I thought, let’s create a service that our generation can use casually, starting from the mindset of “thinking about loved ones” rather than “death.” That was the beginning of our startup. |
