After working as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School, he became an associate professor at Juntendo University School of Medicine. He has also served as deputy director of the AI Incubation Farm at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine.
Founded Juntendo University startup InnoJin Inc. in December 2020, and is developing its business with the philosophy of providing "people-friendly" medical care in the fields of health, medicine, and nursing care, no matter how much technology advances. |

My childhood dream was to become a doctor and contribute to patients. I have had myopia since I was a child, so I had many opportunities to visit the eye clinic. The doctors and nurses were kind to me, and I decided that one day I would like to become a doctor. |

| Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World |
The reason I decided to start a business was because I was exposed to the ecosystem formed by Harvard University and MIT while studying abroad in Boston, USA. Furthermore, at the Boston University School of Management, Questrom Business School, I was able to acquire entrepreneurship and leadership, which are difficult to cultivate in traditional medical education. As a result, the "wall" to challenge myself disappeared, and I was able to decide to try starting a business while continuing to work as a clinical doctor and research doctor.
After that, I returned to Japan from studying abroad in the United States, and in addition to my original specialty of ocular immunology, I began research on digital health in 2016, and founded InnoJin Co., Ltd. as a university-based startup in 2020.
The origin of the company name InnoJin Co., Ltd. is a coined word of innovation and Jin, which means compassion and kindness. It also contains the meaning of an exceptional person who "is not afraid of being unorthodox and takes on original challenges." Based on this philosophy, InnoJin Co., Ltd. is conducting original research and development of more than 10 pipelines, including not only a program medical device for training children with amblyopia using VR, but also a program medical device for smartphone app-based dry eye diagnosis assistance. Through our products, we hope to realize lifelong medical care centered on the daily lives of patients and citizens, rather than traditional institutional medical care centered on hospitals, and grow into a company that can lead the world in digital health. |
