Authentication and authorization device and smart lock system based on smart contracts

We will conduct research and development of wΞlock, an authentication and authorization device and smart lock system based on smart contracts. wΞlock authenticates users through digital signatures using a wallet, and verifies (authorizes) device usage rights based on smart contracts, which are programs on the blockchain. Specifically, smart locks can be unlocked and unlocked by confirming ownership of NFTs. This grant program will focus on research and development of offline authentication functions, on-chain subscription functions, mobile apps, and systems that perform authentication and authorization through smart contracts without relying on centralized systems.

Representative	Hiroyuki Tachibana After graduating from university, he worked on the development of several large-scale game titles as a back-end engineer. After that, he encountered blockchain technology and decided to start his own company. He is currently developing a service that aims to utilize blockchain technology in the real world by combining blockchain technology with IoT technology.
Main Achievements	Participated in the ICT Startup League in 2023. January 2019: Founded a42 Inc. 2018: Worked as a lead engineer at GameWith Inc., responsible for planning and launching a chat service for gamers. 2017: Seconded to Craft Egg Inc., responsible for development and infrastructure development of the large-scale game title "BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!". 2013: Worked as a server-side engineer at CyberAgent Inc., engaged in various game development projects. March 2013: Graduated from the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University.

Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World	I decided to start a business when I saw the potential of blockchain technology, especially Ethereum. I was deeply impressed by the fact that this innovative technology allows transactions and contracts to be conducted transparently and securely without the need for a trusted third party. Our goal is to be at the forefront of linking blockchain technology with IoT devices and realize the use of blockchain-related technologies in everyday life. We aim to create a world where all IoT devices, from home appliances to transportation, are connected to the blockchain and operate securely and transparently.
