Hotel System "aipass" and Housekeeping DX "Jtas" Announce Integration

aipass Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mayumi Yamada), a company supporting operational efficiency for accommodation facilities, announced on December 25 that it has launched a system integration with Edeyans Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), the developer of the housekeeping DX platform "Jtas."

aipass for hotels, transforming the travel experience with DX in the lodging industry

While travel demand is recovering in the post-COVID era, the hospitality industry is facing challenges such as labor shortages, increased workload, and inbound tourism. There is an urgent need to shift from paper-based administrative work and customer service to operations that utilize ICT. By utilizing ICT in hospitality and service provision at accommodation facilities, aipass will create a guest experience from before the trip to during the trip and solve these issues. In this research, we will work on developing a non-face-to-face next-generation check-in solution and a browser-based customer service tool that uses travelers' smartphones, promoting digital transformation. Through our research, we will digitally connect accommodation facilities and travelers to create new travel experiences toward the realization of Society 5.0.

Representative	Mayumi Yamada Joined Photocreate Inc. as a new graduate. Involved in the internet photo sales platform business. In 2017, moved to the hospitality industry, opening a new accommodation facility and working as deputy manager. Having doubts about the outdated systems in the hospitality industry, in 2018 he worked as a PM for hotel system development at a hotel management company. In January 2020, he joined CUICIN Inc. (now aipass Inc.) as a founding member. Currently, he is involved in various DX projects, including consulting for major accommodation facilities, and is working to create new travel experiences.

Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World	When I was working at the front desk of a hotel, I noticed a gap between travelers using their smartphones to enjoy their trips, while the backstage operations of hotels were still paper-based and analog. I wanted to explore new ways of running hotels that utilized smartphones, which led me to start my own company. Through digital transformation, I would like to support the hotel industry, which is seeing a recovery in demand amid a labor shortage, in creating an environment in which it can continue its business.
