Janet Yu
Co-Founder & CEO Janet Yu (right) Graduated from Kyoto University MBA. As a management consultant at Arthur D Little Healthcare, a strategic consulting firm, she provided general support to domestic and international pharmaceutical, MedTech, and consumer goods companies, including business strategies, new business ventures, digital strategies, and BDD. Prior to that, she worked as a data scientist at IBM Advanced Analytics Center of Competency, where she gained experience in data mining, machine learning, algorithm development, and app development in the insurance industry. Using her experience, she would like to quantitatively capture the pain points of menopausal women and launch a digital platform using cutting-edge AI technology and medical science. We want to create a world where women over 35 can continue to challenge their lives, careers, and dreams without restrictions, and we would like to accompany and support your story.

A PhD in Applied Mathematics from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Sherry is a Principal at the strategic consulting firm Roland Berger, focusing on global projects such as overseas market strategies and new business development. She believes that hard science and high technology can elevate business, and works hard every day. Menopause was a lonely journey, but from now on, YStory will pursue a balance between work and family, and we want to provide value to the wonderful stories of women facing the world by utilizing cutting-edge science and technology. As I grew up, I realized that as a woman, I have to balance childbirth, family, and other things. | Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World |
Every year, 460,000 women in their 40s and 50s leave their jobs due to menopause, resulting in an annual economic loss of 420 billion yen. Problems associated with menopause affect society as a whole, and it is important to solve these issues.
Because the symptoms of menopausal vague complaints are diverse, collecting information and managing symptoms is also a heavy burden. These individual issues must also be addressed. Menopause is a stage that lasts for 10 years before and after menopause, and is a stage that all women experience. However, there are no curative drugs, and scientific self-care products are limited. Patients with menopausal symptoms and menopausal disorders are under a great deal of mental and physical strain, and this is a problem that affects not only women but also men.
YStory aims to use AI technology to provide appropriate self-care and advice according to symptoms. In addition, our service also supports medical professionals in providing efficient medical care by sharing patient data. In this way, we aim to reduce the social burden of menopause and realize a better future.
