For patients undergoing outpatient cancer treatment, a personal digital model will be created using data on the type of cancer, anticancer drugs used, and various devices. This model will predict the timing of the occurrence of side effects and provide information on how to perform proper symptom management and nutritional management at home. The goal is to reduce the burden on patients and their families. In this research, we will perform primary verification to reduce the burden on patients by providing the following functions as an application. (1) Build a digital model of individual cancer patients on the back end. (i) Record daily side effects and update the model as needed using the application. (2) Provide personal support using the digital model (i) Remote online consultation by specialized staff with consideration of individual patient characteristics
For patients undergoing outpatient cancer drug treatment, a personal digital model will be constructed using data obtained from the type of cancer, anticancer drug used, various devices, etc.
This will be used to predict when side effects will occur, and appropriate symptom management and nutritional management will be implemented at home. The aim is to reduce the burden on patients and their families.
In this study, the following functions will be provided in the application, and basic verification will be conducted to reduce the burden on patients.
① A digital model of each cancer patient will be constructed on the backend
└ Daily recording of side effects, etc. via the app and model updates as needed
② Personal support will be provided using the digital model
└ Remote online consultations by specialized staff that take into account individual characteristics

| Motivation, Goals, and Ideal World | I grew up in a rural town called Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture, in a family with a long history of cancer. I studied engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management. From working as an engineer at an automobile company to working in new business planning at an IT company, I have experienced many areas of business in my career. However, what I truly aspire to was born from my family's experience fighting cancer. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the difficulties and psychological burden that cancer patients and their families face during their treatment at home. My goal is to bring together the power of medical experts and technology to provide support that allows patients and their families to focus on their treatment with peace of mind. By utilizing ICT and digital twin technology, we are exploring ways to predict the effectiveness of treatment for each patient and minimize the pain of side effects in life. What I want to achieve is to create an environment that allows cancer patients and their families to overcome the most difficult times. And the world I want to create is a society where people can maintain a high quality of life even while fighting the disease. I have received support from many people, and I am fortunate to have received this award and been selected for this program, which I believe shows that the vision I am striving for is also needed in society. However, the journey to the true goal that lies ahead has only just begun. I hope that you will all join in helping us build a new future. |
